The Moon in Scorpio goes down to the cellar with the candle and finds what everyone agreed was not there.
The Moon is in Scorpio from October 11 at 3:21 PM until October 14 at 12:59 AM, when she enters Sagittarius. Scorpio is fixed water, ruled in the old scheme by Mars and in the new by Pluto, and the Moon is said to be in her fall here, which the old astrologers meant as distance from comfort, never as weakness. Astrologers read these days as a season of depth and undertow: feeling runs strong and private, secrets press toward the surface, and the wish for the true thing outweighs the wish for the pleasant one. It is the Moon for intimacy and for endings, for research and for the truth told at last, and the tradition asks for care with the power these days lend.
