The nodes are not on this axis now. They were last here from July 26, 2009 to February 13, 2011 and return on March 7, 2028.
North in Capricorn, South in Cancer: learning to build in the world, after a long season inside the walls.
With the North Node in Capricorn and the South in Cancer, astrologers read the season as a leaving of the house. Cancer is the inheritance: the familiar, the family story, the safety of the known room and the reluctance to be seen outside it. Capricorn is the door: responsibility, ambition, the structure one builds for others to stand in. The tradition treats these months as a season for career and for public duty, for growing up in whatever way is still owed, and it places the eclipses on home, work, and authority.
